J. Price Architecture, Inc. has an opportunity available for an Architectural Project Intern to support their full service firm located in Liberty, Missouri. This highly respected company focuses on quality, value and client satisfaction above all and is looking for an energetic multi-tasker to work with collaborative teams to support their client driven activities, from conception to completion.

This individual should have a mastery of all facets of the project delivery process, including project design, project management, and quality control. This would include construction administration and experience with architectural plan organization. Proven and successfully demonstrated client relations and consultant coordination skills are ideal in this role. Additionally, experience in technical design, schematic design and/or site planning with exposure to code research and city submittals is also strongly preferred.

Responsibilities for this position may include, but are not limited to;

 

  • Continued development towards licensure

  • A primary focus on accuracy and quality of work

  • Leading and coordinating a team of designers and production staff inclusive of all members of a production team for an efficient, quality and profitable end product

  • Mastery of building products, systems, construction, detailing andcode regulations

 

The successful candidate for this position will be required to have a degree in Architecture from an accredited university. In addition, membership and participation in IDP, while working towards licensure is highly preferred. 3-5 years of experience in drafting and design is also strongly desired. The successful candidate should have strong general knowledge of building products, construction detail and regulations, in addition to proficiency in multiple AutoCAD software platforms. Project management experience, including knowledge of construction documents, a strong imagination and the ability to think and create three dimensionally with a visual awareness and an eye for detail, all with a positive can-do attitude and spirit would be ideal for the successful J. Price candidate.

 

Being a self-starter who can work independently, take initiative, and can listen and respond quickly and accurately to customers, both internal and external is essential in this role. INTERIORS

J. Price Architecture, Inc. is currently looking for an Interior Design Associate. We are looking for an energetic multi-tasker to work with collaborative teams to support our client’s visions, from conception to completion. A self-starter who can work independently, take initiative, listen and respond quickly and accurately to customers is essential.

FULL TIME | ANY LEVEL | HIRING NOW

 

Responsibilities for this position may include, but are not limited to;

 

  • Participating in conceptual design development activities and  assisting with creating preliminary FF&E budgets, selections, specifications along with required follow-up throughout the project

  • Assists intermediate and senior level staff with production tasks throughout all design phases, including the preliminary space planning, construction document refinement, material selection and research and the development of the finishing schedule

  • Coordinates with the production staff and other members of a project team to ensure an efficient and quality based project with profitable outcomes

  • Prepares graphics and 3-D visual design presentations, including color boards, digital “mood shots”, materials, and finishes which convey the design concept and style

  • Assists with site verifications and visits, may participate in on-site installations

  • Maintains the Interiors library

  • Schedules appointments for the Interiors department

  • Develops strong working relationships with local vendors and sales representatives

  • Performs other duties and special projects as required

  • Assists with administration duties if administration staff is unavailable

 

A Bachelor’s degree is required for this position, ideally in Interior Design from a CIDA- accredited program. The ideal candidate for this position will have 1-3 years of experience working with a design firm. In addition, experience in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Programs and 3-D modeling and/or SketchUp is strongly preferred. Intermediate AutoCAD proficiency is required. A Strong attention to detail, with a high degree of accuracy and good organizational skills, will be required for the ideal candidate to succeed in this position. The ability to multi-task, deal with interruptions and constantly changing priorities and time constraints will be a constant.

ARCHITECTURE 

TECHNICIAN

 

J. Price Architecture, Inc. is currently looking for Architectural AutoCAD Technicians to support their full-service firm located in Liberty, Missouri. This highly respected company focuses on quality, value and client satisfaction and is looking for an energetic multi-tasker to work with collaborative teams to support the architectural activities that impact the development of their construction documents. This individual will be responsible for drafting architectural construction drawings using AutoCAD software to create, develop, modify and maintain construction documents for commercial and residential construction projects.

 

FULL TIME | ANY LEVEL | HIRING NOW

 

Responsibilities for this position may include, but are not limited to;

 

  • Utilizing AutoCAD for 95% of this position to develop drawings for commercial and/or residential projects.

  • Creating and modifying drawings for special requirements based upon projects and/or client specifications.

  • Checks and verifies drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company design.  Proofreads drawings for format and grammar.

  • Managing and drafting “redline” revisions to existing plans base in a timely manner, so that the project manager and/or client can accurately assess changes to the project plan.

  • Managing multiple computer files in a windows environment (DWG, DWF, PDF).

  • Actively participates in the creation of Drawing Standards, Operating Procedure and Work Instruction.

  • Performs other duties and special projects as required.

 

The successful candidate for this position will have an Associate’s degree, a 2-year technical degree in a drafting related field or the equivalent on-the-job training. Proven proficiency using AutoCAD along with two to five years of related work experience is strongly preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products is also ideal. Additional classes and training in computer technology relative to the position would also be beneficial and strongly preferred.

 

Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills, while dealing with interruptions, changing priorities and time restraints with the utmost attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy are essential to succeed in this position. Being a self-starter who can work independently, take initiative, and can listen and respond quickly and accurately to customers, both internal and external is essential in this role.
